5th Grade Shadow Box
"What is art?" This is the question we posed to our 5th grade philosophers. Their answers are beautifully captured in this stunning large-format shadow box art piece--perfect for adding a dimensional colorful pop to a wall. Kids are born artists, expressing themselves through color, drawings, patterns, textures and images. This artwork gives a voice to all of Hillcrest's fifth graders, and the result is, in their own words, "awesome." Crafted with multi-colored, handmade strips of paper, old maps, dictionary pages, photographs of the students at work and their handwritten responses to 'what is art?', the artwork is both beautiful and thought-provoking. The shadow box measures 30"x40" and will be on display prior to the benefit for viewing.
