Private Tour at Guide Dogs for the Blind - January 14, 2017
Does your child love dogs? Are they interested in learning more about the amazing partnership between visually impaired people and their guide dogs? We will be taking 9 lucky 3rd - 5th graders for a private tour at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael. We will tour this working campus, see where the dogs live and how the human/dog pairs train to work together, and view the dorms, veterinary clinic, and of course dogs! We will meet at Hillcrest at 9am, then head to Guide Dogs for a 1 1/2 tour. We will have a picnic lunch on the Guide Dogs campus, then stop for ice cream on the way home. Pick-up back at Hillcrest at 2pm. Please note, due to health concerns, we will not be having any direct contact with puppies. We may have contact with adult dogs but this is not guaranteed.
