Wine Blending, Tasting Session & Lunch with Mikami Vineyards
Play wine maker for an afternoon in the beautiful Napa Valley with Mikami Vineyards, an award winning artisanal winery. Join owners Jason Mikami and Mitzi Onizuka in a rare opportunity to work with renowned winemaker, Kian Tavakoli, to learn about, taste and blend their 2015 Zinfandel release. Formerly from prestigious wineries, Opus One and Clos du Val, Tavakoli will educate you on the subtleties and techniques used to determine the final blend of a wine. During the session guests will also enjoy a Zinfandel flight, featuring 3 additional wineries and a tour of the winemaking facilities. Lunch included. Transportation provided. Mutually agreed upon weekday in Spring 2017, based on wine release.

Our 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant representation of Napa Valley Cabernet from a cool vintage. 2014 Friedman Vineyard “Iridescence" Cabernet Franc - 3 bottles
These bottles of 100% Cabernet Franc were produced from the petite Friedman Vineyards situated at the base of Mt. George within the Napa Valley Coombsville Appellation. The vineyard's volcanic ash soil is shallow, thus leading to the production of an elegantly balanced fruit in the form of tight and concentrated grape clusters. This 2014 Cabernet Franc has been produced and bottled in an extremely small quantity by the highly regarded Bell Wine Cellars in Yountville, California. Previous vintages have been awarded the Double Gold Medal by the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

Mikami Vineyards Zinfandel 2013 - Half Case
Parents of a 3rd grader here at Hillcrest, Jason Mikami and Mitzi Onizuka operate Mikami Vineyards, a family owned artisanal winery. The 2013 Zinfandel represents 120 years of winegrowing, spanning 3 generations of the Mikami family. It is a tribute to Jason's father who for over 40 years single-handedly managed our 15-acre vineyard. This vintage was harvested from a reserved block of 450 vines and aged for more than 18-months. Only 150 cases were produced, each bottle hand-numbered. 2016 Awards and Recognition: Double Gold Medal, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition; 90-points, Wine Enthusiast.
