When is the online auction?
Online bidding opens Sunday, October 30th at 9am and closes Thursday, November 3rd at 9pm. Online items (sports tickets, kids camps, wine, entertainment and outings, restaurant gift cards, and more!) will NOT be available in-person at the event.

What CAN I bid on at the Claremont?
The following categories are ONLY available in person at the event: adult parties, kids’ parties, getaways, certain class art projects and play to win raffles & games, and, of course, the not-to-be-missed live auction items!

Should I attend the event?
Absolutely! It’s a fun evening, a great way to meet other parents, and more importantly, the event directly benefits the kids. Purchase tickets to the event at the Claremont Hotel here - ON SALE NOW! Get your tickets early as the event may sell out! Early bird pricing ends October 12th. Registration closes October 28th.

What's up with the costumes?
Most parents wear costumes to the Benefit, some exceptionally imaginative interpretations on the theme! Guessing who will win "best dressed" is always a fun part of the evening. We are so excited to see the toy shop-inspired costumes our community comes up with this year. Toys, board games, video games - it’s all on the table! (But please try to keep it rated “E” for everyone, as there will be 8th grade volunteers at the event).

What’s the format of the auction this year?
Items at the auction will be broken into three categories:

  • ONLINE: We’ll be offering multiple items via online auction only, including gift certificates to local businesses, tickets to museums and sporting events, vouchers for kids’ summer camps, jewelry, wine, and more! The online auction ends 2 nights prior to the Benefit so don’t miss out!
  • SILENT: At the Benefit, you’ll be able to bid on kids’ art projects, getaways, and parties for both kids and adults during the silent auction (5:30-7:30pm). There will also be “play to win” games and prizes. This portion of the evening will be outdoors, weather-permitting.
  • LIVE: Over a delicious catered dinner and wine, we’ll offer our most amazing packages - from vacations to the coveted auction parking spot - during the live auction (7:45-9:00pm).

Can I attend just the silent auction portion of the event?
Yes! If you choose not to attend the live auction/dinner portion of the event, you can come for cocktails and to bid on adult parties, kid parties, class art projects, and getaways. You can purchase your $75 ticket for that here.

Will there be a COVID protocol this year?
For the safety of all attendees and our children, we ask that everyone take a rapid COVID-19 test on the date of the in-person event. While we will not be checking test results at the door this year*, we will be trusting all attendees to test to keep our event as safe as possible.

* Subject to change given current public health guidelines

Can I sit with my friends?
Of course! There is a spot on the registration page to note who you would like to sit with, which we will do our very best to honor. You can also make generic requests such as “Kinder families.” There is no separate registration for full tables of 12 this year, please just note your group on the registration page (and thank you for making our lives a little easier!)

Can I help with the event?
Yes please! Contact Jessica Brasch and Liz DeLuca at benefit@hillcrestpta.org.
