What’s the format of the auction?
Items at the auction will be broken into three categories:
ONLINE: We’ll be offering multiple items via online auction only, including gift certificates to local businesses, tickets to museums and sporting events, vouchers for kids’ summer camps, jewelry, wine, and more! The online auction ends 2 nights prior to the Benefit so don’t miss out!
SILENT: At the Benefit, you’ll bid on kids’ art projects, teacher-hosted events, and parties for both kids and adults during the silent auction (5:30-7:30pm). There will also be “play to win” games and prizes.
LIVE: Over a delicious catered dinner and wine, we’ll offer our most amazing packages. After the live auction and dinner, there will be dessert, music and dancing!
When is the online auction? Online bidding opens November 9th. Online items (sports tickets, kids camps, wine, entertainment and outings, restaurant gift cards, and more!) will NOT be available in-person at the event.
What CAN I bid on at the Claremont? The following categories are ONLY available in person at the event: adult parties, kids’ parties, teacher outings, certain class art projects and play to win raffles & games, and, of course, the not-to-be-missed live auction items!
Can I attend just the silent auction portion of the event? Of course! If you choose not to attend the live auction/dinner portion of the event, you can come for cocktails and to bid on adult parties, kid parties, class art projects, and teacher outings. You can purchase your $75 ticket for that here.
Should I attend the event? Absolutely. Meet fellow parents, support the school, and maybe walk away with a week in Arnold!
What can I expect the evening of the Auction?
Doors Open (5:30 PM) Start the night in full Studio 8H style with passed champagne, hors d’oeuvres, familiar faces, and photo ops.
Silent Auction, Sketches & Games (5:30–7:30 PM) Channel your inner Spartan Cheerleader or Superfan and join the action with laugh-out-loud games and silent auction bidding. (Non-party items close at 7:15 PM; party bidding closes at 7:30 PM.)
Dinner is Served (8:00 PM) Take your seat for a dinner worthy of a cast party — complete with wine, delicious fare, and dessert.
Live from the Claremont: The LIVE Auction Raise your paddle for the biggest laughs — and biggest excitment — of the night. Get ready for epic getaways, the legendary Beer Bus, and more.
After-Party Wrap Show (9:30 PM) Stick around for the DJ, dancing, and final sketch.
Curtain Call (10:30 PM) Good night and thank you — we’ll see you at the cast party
What's up with the costumes? Absolutely! Most parents wear costumes which are imaginative interpretations on the theme! We are so excited to see your take on Weekend Update Anchors, Debbie Downer, Coneheads, there are SO many directions you can go! Guessing who will win "best dressed" is always a fun part of the evening.
Can I sit with people I know? Of course! Back by popular demand, "Buy a Table" tickets with 12 seats. New this year, "Buy Half Table" and buy six seats together! Alternatively, there is a spot on the registration page to note who you would like to sit with. Here are two ways to make this request
- Be specific about who you want to sit with, your kiddos close friend is a great option! Such as “The Culp family”.
- Make generic requests. Such as “Kinder families”.
