Michael Grbich, a graduate of California College of Arts and Crafts, taught art at Miramonte High School for 24 years before retiring to pursue a second career in painting. Since 1996, he has participated in several Group and Solo Exhibitions in his hometown Oakland, San Francisco, and parts of the greater Bay Area. Group exhibitions include Berkeley Center of the Arts, Pro Arts Oakland, Napa Art Gallery and the featured art at the Grand Opening of Elder Arts at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. His work has also been shown in Solo Exhibitions including the Rockridge Library and the Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building. Most notable are the honors of being selected for the National Art League’s Award of Merit by the assistant curator for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and winning the Agora Art Gallery International Art Competition in New York City.
